A twist on the classic pairing, the bright cranberry aromas of Cabernet Franc highlight the deep plum and blackberry scents of merlot. Its charming bouquet carries over, and flavours of red and black cherries linger on the palate. This beautifully balanced wine has a lush tannin structure, and a seamless finish.

Winemaking

The warm summer of 2009 ripened the grapes beautifully for this blend of 75% merlot, 25% cabernet. After cold soak and a 20 day skin fermentation, the wines were drained and aged in small American and French oak barrels.
