Tasting notes
Orange blossoms and vanilla mingle with tropical fruit aromas followed by a rich and supple mid-palate.Food pairings
This dry wine is exceptional with creamy pasta dishes, light curries, and savoury cheese and pâté plates.Awards
This wine was fermented and aged primarily in Hungarian oak barrels and spent time on the lees. As a result, the wine has a rich, fleshy texture, with aromas of orange blossoms and flavours of peaches. There is a note of spice on the finish. The oak is handled very well; it does not submerge the fruit in this delicious wine. 90 points - John Schreiner Just released at the Naramata winery in the Okanagan, this medium-bodied white shows pear, orange, a touch of mineral as well as a creamy texture and faint bread-like quality owing to a period of aging on the spent yeast cells (or lees). Don’t serve it too cold - Beppi CrosariolWinemaking
Our classic Pinot Gris was made from luscious fruit sourced from the Naramata and Black Sage benches. It was fermented both in stainless vats and Hungarian oak barrels then held sur lies for 5 months with battonage every fortnight.July 7, 2010
