We had the most wonderful dinig experience early in October. The food was just excellent and our waitress was a delight. Just sad that we live so far away!!!

We had driven here from Kelowna first thing in the morning and found out that many of the wineries do not open until 11:00 am. Luckily we happened upon Hillside - which opened at 10:00. We were greeted by two very friendly staff members who were more than happy to provide tastings and answer all of our questions. There is a $5.00 fee per person for the tastings - but the money goes to the local SPCA. If you purchase wines the fee is waived. We enjoyed our wines and the experience so much that we purchased several wines and donated anyway. We were too early to try the Bistro -- but maybe next time we are visiting we will plan our timing a bit better.

My family and I just returned from Naramata and had an excellent lunch on the upper deck at Hillside Winery. I have to admit, i was cautious as I have previously experienced, some years ago a lunch that was mediocre. However, the new chef proved himself and the meal was great. We had mussels, pan seared trout, and a elk sausage appetizer. everything was plated beautifully and tasted wonderful. My son ordered a divine lemon buttermilk sponge cake that was sublime. it was served with a basil concoction that worked in perfect harmony. definitely the best meal we had on the vacation.

We were directed to this Bistro by a neighbouring vintner, and we were very glad he had. The evening was perfect, and the food paired with wine was superb. We had the duck confit and the risotto, and found both perfect. We had been sampling foods at a number of Bistros in the area, and found this to be the best. The view from the deck was to the west overlooking the lake, so the ambiance was good.

Had a set dinner as part of Opimian wine tour and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The crispy oyster on blue cheese canapé was excellent, as was the garlic creamed clam appetizer. The roasted venison could have been cooked another minute but a job well done considering there were 60 of us. Finally, the chemical production of a dessert had all of our mouthes watering. Truly delicious. Oh, and the wine pairings of Pinot Gris and their new cab sac worked well.

We chose the BIstro for my wife's birthday dinner in July 2014. Unfortunately it was a little too cool to sit outside but the food and service more then made up for that. I had my heart set on the gourmet Burger but was diverted to the Butcher Block as it sounded fantastic. And it was! Have to say that it was one of the best 10 meals in my life(photo attached). And that is saying something. Flank Steak with tomatoes, Potatoes and cheese curds. Out of this world!

We were visting our married son in B.C. and were eager to be shown around the Okanagan area, where they were staying for the summer. The day after we arrived we went on a few wine tours and we made dinner reservations at the Hillside Estate Winery on my son's recommendation. Our meals were excellently paired with the Estate wines. We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were prepared with unique ingredients and cooked to perfection. Our server was very professional and the tables overlooked the vineyard and had fantastic views of Okanagan Lake, too. The array of desserts appealed to all of us - there was such variety. Cheese cakes, fruits, chocolate, each of us was pleased with his or her selection. We bought some wines to bring home with us, too. Our meals were so good that we plan on driving the six hours for another weekend excursion just to come to this bistro. Call first as I don't think the bistro is open during the entire winter.

We rode our bikes along the KVR and visited several wineries. Hillside was among the last ones we visited but it offered the easiest access from both the main road and the KVR. We stopped for lunch which turned out to be far beyond our expectations. We had various items from the menu and they were all delicious. I particularly recommend the Grilled Cheese and Duck Leg sandwich and the Selection of BC Cheeses ( an appy). Afterwards we visited the wine tasting room. It was beautiful and roomy. The staff were friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful.the wines we delicious and we ended up purchasing several bottles. I'd recommend that anyone visiting the Naramata wineries definitly stop here.
