The principal vineyards for this wine are surrounded by fruit orchards, along the Naramata bench. This is the ultimate "terroir" influence - contributing peach, nectarine and apple characteristics. Early bud-break and bloom resulted in a long season creating complex aromatics and, after 2-4 hours skin contact, adding bright flavor and body to the mid-palate. Slow, cool fermentation preserved and enhanced the aromas.
