Mosaic – small pieces coming together to create a work of art. Vineyard skill, careful barrel selection, and cellar craftsmanship come together to realize a wine of great depth and finesse.
Beside the winery lies our first planting, the 1984 block that produced the lovely fruit for this Gamay Noir. This is a medium-bodied, fruit forward wine. Raspberry and cedar notes highlight the aroma, while the palate delivers a fine, silky texture.
Tucked behind the winery, the bowl-shaped Hidden Valley Vineyard is a beautifully warm site that produces ripe fruit of deep flavour and rich tannin. Aromas of black raspberry, clove and licorice are echoed on the palate, finishing with a supple mouthfeel. So fun to taste and compare with our Gjoa’s Vineyard Merlot and Dickinson Vineyard Merlot!
Gjoa’s vineyard, situated just below our winery, was established 27 years ago. These mature vines produce fruit which stands out with deep plum and mocha aromas and a savoury note to the palate, lending sophistication to the finish. So fun to taste and compare with our Dickinson Vineyard Merlot!
En route to Naramata, the stunning Dickinson vineyard is on a sun-drenched bench above the lake. This stylish wine shows dark fruits, fine cocoa and pipe tobacco followed by silky fine-grained tannins. So fun to taste and compare with our other single vineyard Merlots!
This 100% Naramata Bench Pinot Noir shines with juicy raspberry and wild strawberry aromas and flavours. The silky texture lingers on the palate while a hint of spice adds to its beautiful complexity.
A late spring and moderate summer followed by warm fall days gave this Syrah block beautiful aromatics and afforded the hang time required for full ripening of tannins. Planted in 2001, our Hidden Valley Vineyard, a bowl shaped valley behind the winery on Naramata Road.
An early spring and moderately warm summer, and blissfully smoke-free, allowed for very long hang time for the 2019 red grapes. Wine from an older planting of Malbec blends nicely with younger (13 year old) Merlot block.
